Like a shattered piece of the bright blue sky, she stood, illuminated by sunlight.
I had to be dreaming. She couldn’t be standing here, and I couldn’t be standing here either.
Yet, as my feet took me towards her, I didn’t care if it was only a dream.
“Sariel…” The words were torn painfully from my mouth, I hadn’t seen her turquoise eyes in too long.
She gave me a small smile.
“I was worried…you never woke up…” Happiness and sorrow mixed inside my heart.
She placed her hands on my shoulders and pulled me forwards into a kiss. I melted at her touch.
“I’m so happy you’re awake now. You should see our son, he looks just like you.” I said as we parted. She said nothing.
She placed her hand on my chest and gently pushed me.
We ended up on the ground, our hands intertwined like the roots of a tree. I never wanted to let go. Something inside me knew this wasn’t real, that this was a dream, but I didn’t want to wake up.
“It’ll be okay.” Her voice floated in the air like a gentle melody.
“I miss you…”
Um…Happy Valentine’s day?
*sniffs* I think I made myself crying while writing this extra…
On a side note, aren’t the swirly trees perfect for a fantasy like ambiance?
