7.15 – The first party forms

No one’s POV

Two figures ran faster than a natural, and faster than most supernaturals, in a dark forest. It is a forest rarely visited at night, due to bandits and coyotes. So, in a way, these two were right where they belonged.

One of the two figures halted without any warning, almost causing a collision with his companion.

“What’s wrong? Have you lost the scent?” The companion asked.

“No, I’ve acquired a new one dear.” The man replied.

The woman instantly put her guard up, using her superior vampire senses to attempt to locate the newcomer.

“There he is.” The man replied with a satisfied smile as he found the newcomer.

“Where?”

The woman finally spotted him. “Kord. I see, you were right, he came after all.”

“My dear brother can’t stay away from me. No matter how much he tries.” The man said, a smirk plastered on his face.

It was true, and Kord was ashamed of it. His brother had killed Lilith, their sister, and then to begin a war purely for his entertainment, Velor had killed his wife, Diella. His dear beloved wife. The one who’d let him escape into a reality different from the blood thirsty truths of his family.

It was a curse. These golden-eyes were a curse and nothing else.

“Carla.” Kord said as a greeting to his niece.

“Kord you decided to join us.” Carla said, the joy apparent in her voice.

“You finally got bored of the goody-two shoes?” Velor asked.

Kord looked away resigned. He’d tried very hard to live with Zyla and her family. His niece was the nicest of the golden-eyed vampires he’d ever met. Mainly she refused to abuse of her power, it’s what kept her sane. It’s what kept her from turning into something like what his brother was.

But even if he desired to live peacefully, it was too much for him to handle. To stop hunting and to drink plasma juice, to stay cooped up in the house all the time, to do plain nothing….it was boring beyond anything he could’ve imagined. He never thought he’d miss the wars his brother maliciously plotted.

At least when Carla had started to evolve into a vampire he found something of interest. He taught her how to hunt by using her power and counted stories and stories of old vampire battles and of her father’s reign. It was when she left to go to that school that he finally realized it was impossible for him to stay any longer. And thus, he left to search for his brother on his wild chase.

“We aren’t going to feed you.” Velor clarified tapping his brother on the shoulder. “Alright, now that that’s out of the way we better keep going.”

Kord understood many things about his brother, but there was one that he could never quite comprehend. It was his brother’s absolute greed to control. To be the most feared. It’s what’s keeping him on this long chase. He’s been running after these people for years and he still seems as determined as when he first started.

Or maybe it’s his anger towards being betrayed by nearly all his close vampires. After all in a simple short while, both Kevil and Rehal betrayed with two different people no less.

“If we daddle too long Kevil gets the idea he can take a break. The foolish boy.” Velor chuckled.

But then again, with Velor who knew what the reason was? For all they knew Velor was a cat merely playing with mice to pass the time.

Intermission? Checked. Next up, Arc 3.

Well, everyone’s talking about the sims 4 lately and I feel compelled to do the same. I personally had a great first impression of the sims 4, but then I read all that stuff about it having less careers, less everything really. It’s just more varied when it comes to emotions and actions apparently!

I’m certainly not going to be getting it anytime soon though. If I do, this means bad news for this story and I love it too much to do that to it! What about you guys? Anyone getting the sims 4?
