This blog has officially hit the 3 years!
It’s hard to believe, but 3 years have actually been spent on this story! And a whole year of that was just Xavier 😛
Even though we’re already at generation 9, I have no doubt I’ll still be writing this story a year from now (I mean, Niko is still a teen right now). Thank you for all sticking with me for so long, and hopefully for the next year as well!
Now as you might have noticed, for Year 1 I had my heirs meet up and complain about me, and for Year 2 I made a small video of all my heirs jamming together to the song Kill the Lights by Set it off.
This year, I had the fancy idea of making a quiz! (my first) It’s a quick and cute little thing (that took quite a few hours) to see if you’re a Rosahelminthe, Millie, Balthier, Cain, Sariel, Zyla, James, Xavier or Nikolas. ;D
It doesn’t take very long, and if you do the quiz, I’d love to hear what you got in the comments!
Also, if you get Nikolas you get to see a Beta Version of him as an Adult. 😛

I always get Cain or Rosahelminthe when I do it.
And once I got James when I was trying for Sariel which really wigged me out.
(Yeah, I did this test weeks ago so i’ve already forgotten what gives who lol)

Just spent the last two and a half weeks binge reading this and have finally caught up! Congratulations on hitting the 3rd year! Wish I had enough talent (failing that a game that didn’t crash past the 4th gen) to keep a story going. Can’t wait to find out what happens next!
Oh and I got Nikolas: Reckless and competitive, but dedicated and loyal to a fault. There’s nothing you can’t overcome one way or another. And I’m okay with this.

Hi, invisible fan here (besides the comments I make sometimes on my account…😋). I can’t express how much I love this legacy; I think I’ve been here since Zyla?? Not sure, I can’t keep track of time, though I’m wondering how I didn’t find the Whitelights and your amazing writing sooner. I took the quiz and got Zyla 😄 which is strangely fitting. Anyways, thanks for taking up your time to update and continue this for us, and I can’t wait until part 2 (is there a part 2? There has to be a part 2) of the current chapter!

Rosahelminthe!!!!!!! I cracked up because she’s definitely the heir that made me laugh the most. All her “Damn it!” moments and determination. I am completely over the moon happy with this result. “Proud and independent, with a tendency to call yourself badass.” Lmaooooo wellllll idk! XD Independent though definitely. Usually proud too, I’ll admit XD “You have a big destiny in mind, but you have time to do a few cool things here and there on your way over.” Hummmm well, I ammmm working toward my Master’s degree, maybe even want to get my Doctorate’s, AND would like to publish a book, but in the meantimeeeeeeee like to read Sim stories and write Different Winters, so ya know….IT FITS! =D Hahaha great job with the quiz and such a fun idea! ^_^ ❤

Oooooh, well, when I said “judging by all my comments” I just meant my personality in general XD I figure I must come across as SOMETHING, that is, you must have some impression of me, but I don’t know what that something is because I’m me! …that’s not confusing at all >.> LOL.
And yessss, I really love Xavier, but I don’t think of myself as being like him necessarily either….I just, well, like him! Lol.

Yup 10 gens is my goal!
Though i’m kind of considering generation 10 to be an epilogue and for gen.9 to be the real ending.
But ideas are still in the work

You’re a REALLY fantastic writer who’s way too hard on herself with her writing.
You’re perceptive and sweet and haven’t watched enough horror movies. You’ve got a big soft spot for good romance and character development and you like my story so that makes you pretty awesome 😛

I laughed stupidly when I read this, mostly because it’s all true, LOL. Although I dunno about the really fantastic writer…which just makes me crack up again because that thinking only further confirms the accuracy of your statement apparently XD. Also totally avoid horror movies!!! Suspense, okay, bring it on; but horror? I close my eyes through every murder on Sweeney Todd, LOL. Not because it grosses me out…but because it actually literally disturbs me? Like I have this awful habit of PUTTING MYSELF IN THE VICTIM’S SHOES DURING THOSE SCENES. THAT is why they end up disturbing me T_____T I wish I didn’t do that, but I DO. Gah.
And because you were kind enough and brave enough to write that interpretation, I’ll give you mine of you: You’re quite analytical, preferring to act based on logic rather than heart; you’re a daydreamer, spending much of your time thinking about the expansive worlds you’ve created in your head. You DO like horror movies and actually, many of your favorite characters are villains. You like how they DON’T always act “goody goody” and aren’t afraid to take chances and do what needs to be done to solve problems. You’re highly creative and often make yourself laugh. You are always striving to be better and improve and you take genuine pride in this growth. You like MY stories and put up with all my all-over-the-place comments and replies and THAT makes you pretty awesome too!

I love Game of Thrones tooooo, BUT I can only read the books?! Like, I was watching the show, but they changed so much from books, and often in such graphic and violent ways, that I couldn’t watch it anymore even though there were aspects of it I really liked T___T So the books it is!
I’m a huge daydreamer too o_____o I think a lot of us writers are! Honestly, I prefer to be lost in their world than navigating the real world around me *sigh* Oh, to stay lost….

If you do make grammar mistakes, you’re pretty darn good at catching them because I rarely ever notice any, so no worries there ^_^
HAHAHAHA sameeeeee. Mostly though, I play out scenes o___o And some of those scenes may even make it into my actual story. A lot of it is just “testing out” different interactions though and seeing it play out. Sometimes my characters genuinely surprise me!!
But oh my god, Xavier walking past….ONE CAN ONLY HOPE! XD

Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha….I took the quiz again now that I’m properly here and this time I got…..Xavier.
Hah. Hah. Ah ha. You know my eyes literally widened when that result popped up? Evidently Xavier resonates on a frequency much more similar to mine than I initially surmised. God, that shouldn’t be a surprise at all, should it? Considering he’s clearly my favorite character? Hahaha. But still, I actually AM quite surprised? I don’t know why! Lol.
Let’s see: “Sensitive and caring, with a tendency to carry things that are too heavy by yourself. You go with the flow and you get put into the weirdest of situations because of it.”
Ah, you know what, reading that again….I feel like….Rosahelminthe is the person that I like to strive to be, the person that I would like others to see me as, but Xavier is actually more true to who I am. And apparently some part of me recognized that from the very first time I stepped into Xavier’s mind.
You know….seeing how much I genuinely love Xavier, I think maybe I should use this as a gentle reminder to extend some of that love to the Xavier that lives in me too…and actually be fully proud of it….just as I’m always proud of the person Xavier has come to be.
