I was originally going to put the first ones at the end of chapter 7.8, but then the random things kept accumulating and I decided it’d be better if I just made a post solely for this.
The first thing was when James grew up XD
I laughed so hard! Especially with his ‘I am not okay with this face’
I wasn’t the only one who found this funny either;
Next up was the wedding! It was on a seriously HOT summer day, and I hadn’t realized it, but on some other game I set the temperature at something like 39 degrees, so everyone was burning up pretty fast. I hadn’t realized how fast until James’ ass caught on fire.
At first I dismissed it as a vampire thing so I kept checking the vampire’s status to make sure no one else burned up again. But apparently it wasn’t that cause Lance was next to catch on fire.
Almost two seconds later Annabeth caught on fire as well!
I had to press pause and fix everyone before they started catching on fire too! I obviously changed the temperature to avoid any more uncontrolled fires…XD
After that I thought the wedding would go smoothly but apparently Simon and Zyla weren’t even engaged yet! (guess I forgot) So I had to build them up to it, and when Simon proposed…
Zyla refused him! All because she’s an insane unpredictable sim! (she really has the insane trait) So I got her to propose to avoid any more confusion. Needless to say Simon was pretty heartbroken.
AS IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH. Some odd balls started showing up.
Can’t recognize him? That’s because a while ago he burned up like the rest, but he was way far in town and my camera zoomed in on him (he had quite the circle of spectators too as he burned) at a VERY critical moment.
Kord (yeah that’s kord) then decided to ruin a screenshot because he felt the need to come with an umbrella (its not even raining!) and throw rice at Zyla and Simon.
YOU WEREN’T INVITED KORD. You ditched remember? Go away.
Oh and it’s not over.
Then I had to have Lance and James hug.
I THINK YOU ALL KNOW HOW TEEN-ADULT HUGS GO.
I died trying to get a screenshot and eventually gave up and just took a back view. But nonetheless I tried enough times for James to finally have his fill of hugging his big bro.
Lance was really heartbroken at the rejection XD

This chapter… This was amazing. I adore chapters like these only because I can totally relate. So many butt-fires and mishaps… It’s just the life of a writer. Everyone thinks everything goes so smoothly when in reality you’re ripping your hair out.
I did a wedding in Monte Vista once, ages ago. The bride brought her toddler daughter who wasn’t having any of it, one of the bride’s sisters was pregnant and threw up in the middle of the cake cutting (can’t say I blame her, I mean, that pregnancy nausea though…). Where was the pregnant sister’s adoring husband? Getting the shit slapped out of him by her other sister plus a random Townie because he accidentally cheated on both of them with his wife (I didn’t know, he was a Townie that when he married and moved in came with all that baggage attached, though I did rectify that as soon as he moved in… Yet the girls were still bitter).
The rest of the guests were sunbathing or going swimming in the ocean because… This was after the IP patch and that was sim crack.
Anyways, sorry for the tangent (again). I can just relate so much…

oh my god just so many things happen behind the scenes! It’s ridiculous!
But I cant *really* complain, because half the time it’s a way for my characters to tell me what needs to be done.
NOt the buttfire thing obviously!
But recently, the plot was fine there was nothing wrong with it, but one of my characters decided I needed to add a townie to the story, by finding a really decent one in the graveyard and just chatted her up. I hadn’t realized I needed this townie, but now that I do she’s become such a pivotable part of the plot I can’t imagine it without her!
All these little things all the time. It’s gotten to the point where I usually trust what my game tries to tell me. (I mean, without my game I would’ve completely forgotten a certain character who was just crashing at the house. my gods I’m so ashamed of that). So yeah, I told my game if my child gets hit by a car crossing the road it WILL become cannon (darn kid never checks left and right anyways. he has it coming). So far it hasn’t happened though. My game must be feeling merciful.

Oh my gosh, I swear my game knows things before I do.
Collab partner and I were doing some test runs of some of our Sims we planned on becoming couples before we launched my rewrite and two the couples were having issues. They seemed to get along so well for a while and then the man in one of the couples started randomly yelling at the woman (and this was heartbreaking to me because my lady was super adorable). Mpart told me to change his traits, that we would make this work. We fiddled almost all night until we had hammered out his personality to where he wouldn’t make my sweet, adorable (name redacted for spoiler purposes) cry. Ok, well let’s say it foreshadowed so much.
Another of those couples was my amazing guy going after one of mpart’s ladies and he wasn’t having any of it. Turns out she was a raging bitch and he sensed it before we did. XD
Anyways, I swear these sims do hilarious things sometimes that I just turn free will on and see what they do. Sometimes they do really adorable things too. I have another story in pre-pre-production (it’s ready, I’m waiting to launch it after SotN) where I’m just letting my Sims be free and mother and father were talking care of twins when the father just looked at his wife from across their cribs and stared at her while smiling and it was just so adorable..
I’m having that moment again – where the hell did I get here from? (Sighs) just ride the tangent coaster. Just… Ride away and stop asking questions, self.

Tangents are a must-have item on my bucket list! Well, if I had a bucket list… If I had any list at all really… Must remember to make a list! Do you think I need to make a list of lists that I need to remember?!?

Oh I sent those spoilers to you already. About our unfortunate sinking ship (I had just messaged you about that) but that was actually the first couple. It was so heartbreaking watching my little (name redacted) cry after she would try to talk to him and he would yell at her. 😥
The second couple? It was a certain Siren of Mparts and a Pirate of mine.
Mpart never made it that far in her original though, but that Siren of hers took a nasty turn for the worse and it is what’s caused her to have to walk away from her story for so long. I’ll give you the full details on Carls. XD As usual. XD

THIS JUST MAKES ME THINK
About yesterday where I wanted two sims to high five and even though they’re good friends, the girl wouldn’t accept the high five unless she initiated it AND REALLY IN A WAY, this is some major foreshadowing of future stuff I’ve been thinking about.
Of course when it happened though I was laughing in frustration because of the failed high fives we talked about the other day, wondering if this is where this was going XD

LMAO, these kinds of chapters are my favourite. Butt fires and party crashers and insane sims, zomg. I have never seen a sim catch on fire from the sun, maybe that’s been patched out? Even when they stay out long enough to get sunburned there are no fires… not that I WANT my sims to catch fire, course not.

Hahaaaa it was cause I needed to melt snow? And back then the only way I knew was by upping the temperature and I don’t know F, so i actually set it at this UNGODLY LEVEL lmao, so everyone caught fire
